Hi, I’m Mickey!
I’m currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Pretoria, a field that perfectly combines my love for problem solving, mathematics, and building things. I have over three years of tutoring experience and have worked with students across different learning styles and academic backgrounds, which has taught me how to adapt lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs.

I tutor Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, and English, and I genuinely enjoy guiding students through both technical and language-based subjects. Having once struggled with mathematics myself, I understand how frustrating it can feel and how powerful it is when concepts finally click. This experience drives me to help students find clarity and confidence in their work, especially when tackling challenging topics.

In the sciences, I enjoy the balance between logical problem solving and creative thinking, whether it’s exploring the fascination of chemistry or approaching physics challenges in new and flexible ways. My love for English was inspired early on, and I enjoy helping students strengthen their reading, writing, and comprehension skills while developing a deeper appreciation for the language.

Tutoring, for me, is a shared journey. I find immense joy in watching students reach those breakthrough moments where understanding replaces uncertainty. I believe that the most successful people are those who enjoy learning, and my goal is to spark or reignite that love for learning while building the confidence students need to achieve their academic goals and beyond.
