Hi, I’m Imogen!
I’m a BA Languages student at the University of Cape Town, studying Mandarin, Arabic, and French. I have a deep love for languages, reading, and travel, and I enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with my students. I’ve tutored learners across a variety of levels, from primary school to high school. I’ve also worked in an English conversation centre and completed my TEFL certification, which has helped me develop strategies to make learning both effective and engaging!

I tutor English, Further Studies English, Afrikaans, French, History, and Geography. I aim to make learning accessible and enjoyable, helping students grasp concepts, build confidence, and develop strong communication and study skills. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive space where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring their abilities.

Whether it’s improving language fluency, mastering essay structures, or making sense of complex social science content, my goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and beyond. Tutoring is about more than just exams — it’s about fostering curiosity, building competence, and helping learners feel capable in every subject!
